Summer Update

Posted by: Scott In: Post-Rally|Press

Whew–it’s been one busy summer!

Our story has been getting even more attention through being featured in the American Artists & Writers newsletter, the Rotary International Reconnections newsletter, the main page on the Rotary International web site (where it was translated into six languages!), and Shaun Boyd’s LifeReboot blog.

During the past few months Scott has been presenting about the trip to various Rotary clubs and non-profit groups throughout Southeast Michigan. He is also working on writing a book chronicling the entire adventure and expects it to be finished and available on Amazon.com sometime next year. Collin has been spending time with his new son, Vaan, and working long hours at his new job, which he likes very much.

Again, thank you to all of the people that have taken in an interest in our story–we had a blast doing it, and sharing it with everybody brings back a lot of great memories.

Good luck to all of the 2010 Mongol Ralliers that are on the road somewhere between London and Mongolia right now!

Hi there,
Not sure if you’re still active on this site, but in relation to the rotary clubs, were they sponsors for the entry fee, or the charity that you donated to at the end of the race?

We were in partnership with a Rotary club in Mongolia (along with my hometown Rotary club) to raise funds to build a school there. All of the trip expenses were personally covered by my team mate and I.
