Europe Part Four: Prague

Posted by: Scott In: The Rally

Kristi, Jarrett, Collin, and I drove a couple hours to the city of Prague and checked into a hotel room there. When I parked to check into the hotel I noticed tat the other roof mount on our roof rack had also been cleaved in half. I had no more rope, so I took some duct tape and patched it together. ow that we wouldn’t be carrying any extra passengers we would at least be able to take some of the weight off of the roof rack–that should help.

We got in a couple hours of sightseeing before meeting up with Kristin, the reporter from the previous day, for dinner and drinks. We started by getting a few drinks at an utdoor beer garden overlooking the city–the view was amazing. It turned out to be quite the extended session as she invited a few other friends out along with us and we ended up visiting a few bars and restaurants culminating in me, totally exhausted, nodding off to sleep a few times at the last place we were at. We took a cab ride back to our hotel around 3:00AM.

The next day we had a never-ending Spanish lunch of paella and gazpacho and then visited the castle overlooking the city. It was then time to say goodbye to Jarrett and Kristi, who had a train booked for 5:00PM back to Munich. Collin and I then repacked our belongings into the car and found our way out of the city for our next destination in the Czech countryside: Kutna Hora.

Thanks Kristi and Jarrett–we had a great time!
